mymo.AI to Participate in Health and Human Services Challenge: Opioid Symposium & Code-a-Thon

December 5, 2017 - 2 minutes read

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), 91 Americans die every day from an opioid overdose. The opioid epidemic is one of the most complex public health crisis in our nation currently.

Healthcare changes need to be made and the HHS is leading the way. On December 6 and 7, the HHS will host an Opioid Symposium and Code-a-thon in Washington, D.C. to promote and employ innovative ways to leverage technology and data to address the nationwide opioid epidemic.

mymo.AI is pleased to announce our participation in the events, as we recognize how vital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) are to combat this issue. Our purpose is to change healthcare through precision, personalization, and prevention via AI and the mymo MedCab In-Home Point of Care System.

HHS Opioid Symposium

The Opioid Symposium will bring together federal, state, and local health officials, along with first-responders, who are concerned about the opioid epidemic and can share best practices and innovative solutions using technology and data. The Symposium will be led by HHS Acting Secretary Eric Hargan and HHS Chief Technology Officer Bruce Greenstein.
